The first week

Weeks 2–4: expect a shed

The transplanted hairs generally drop out — shock loss. It's unsettling but completely normal; the follicle stays and regrows down the line.

Months 3–6: growth returns

New strands begin emerging, wispy at first and thickening over time. This is where visible progress starts.

Months 9–12: the payoff

At nine to twelve months you're near the final look, with 90–95% graft survival under a skilled surgeon. Most will keep you on finasteride/minoxidil to shield your untransplanted hair so the result endures.
